Public Consultation Period for Birdsall Wildlife Area

Otonabee Conservation is embarking upon a program to develop management statements for all of its properties. The purpose of a conservation area management statement is to describe the long-term management objectives and associated stewardship activities for the property.

Otonabee Conservation is currently developing a management statement for the Birdsall Wildlife Area. The area is 242 hectares in size, located east of Keene on County Road 2, on the north shore of Rice Lake. Portions of the property are located the Township of Asphodel-Norwood and the Township of Otonabee South Monaghan.

Members of the watershed community and other interested individuals are welcome to review and provide comments to Otonabee Conservation about the proposed conservation area management statement for the Birdsall Wildlife Area. The consultation period begins February 20th and closes April 5th, 2017.
