The Otonabee Conservation Foundation Community Projects Fund
Overview
What is the Otonabee Conservation Foundation Community Projects Fund?
The Otonabee Conservation Foundation Community Projects Fund (OCFCP) was created to assist community based local environmental initiatives in the Otonabee Region Watershed.
Goal
The goal of the Fund is to bring together individuals and organizations within the watershed community who have a volunteer driven environmental project they would like to undertake, but lack the capital to complete their project.
Objective
The objective of the OCFCP is to help build a community of those who want to work for the improvement of our local environment. As part of the funding requirements, the organizations and individuals that receive funding must agree to assist the Otonabee Conservation Foundation in future fundraising, so we can continue to support worthwhile environmental improvement projects throughout the watershed community.
Value of Grants
In the past, individual grants have ranged from $100 to $900.
Who has received grants from the OCFCP Fund in the past?
OCFCP grants have been awarded for such projects as: the construction of an outdoor environmental classroom, educational signage for The Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre, and trees for enhancement projects on the Millbrook Valley Trail.
