OTONABEE CONSERVATION ANNUAL MEETING
Terry Low, Deputy-Reeve of Asphodel-Norwood was elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority for 2010. The Board elected Low to the office of Chair at the Annual Meeting of the Conservation Authority held February 18, 2010 at the Bridgenorth Public Library, Bridgenorth.
Sherry Senis, Councilor with the Municipality of Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield, was elected to her second term as Vice-Chair of the Conservation Authority.
Chair Low is pleased to announce the following municipal appointments to the Board of Directors for 2010:
- Township of Cavan-Monaghan ~ Brian Bartlett (Councillor)
- Township of Douro-Dummer ~ John Good (Citizen Appointment)
- Township of Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield ~ Ron Millen (Reeve) and Sherry Senis (Councillor)
- Municipality of Trent Hills ~ Bill White (Councillor)
- Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan ~ David Nelson (Reeve)
- City of Kawartha Lakes ~ Stephen Strangway (Councillor)
- City of Peterborough ~ Bob Hall (Councillor), Jack Doris (Councillor) and Clayton Wade (Citizen Appointment)
Directors elected to the Executive Committee for 2010 include Terry Low, Sherry Senis, Jack Doris, John Good and Bob Hall.
In 2010, the Board of Directors will meet the third Thursday of every month, unless otherwise notified. Members of the watershed community are invited to attend the meetings of the Board. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at the Otonabee Conservation Centre, located at 250 Milroy Drive, Peterborough.
