Celebrate Earth Day – Join a Clean Up!

EVENT #1 

~19th Annual Earth Day Jackson Creek Clean Up ~

Saturday, April 22, 2017

Join us for the 19th Annual Earth Day Jackson Creek Clean Up hosted by Otonabee Conservation with support by the City of Peterborough, Swish Maintenance, Tim Hortons and community volunteers.

Time:               10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Location:        Meet at main entrance to Jackson Park, Peterborough (Monaghan Road at Parkhill Road)

On-Site Contact:        Meredith Carter,  Manager, Watershed Management Program, Otonabee Conservation

Volunteers will help clean up Jackson Park and the Trans Canada Trail to celebrate Earth Month, and to help make every day Earth Day!  Bags and gloves will be provided.

Since 1999, over 1500 people have participated in the Jackson Creek Clean Up and removed nearly 40 tonnes of litter from Jackson Park and the Trans Canada Trail.

This is a family-friendly event and will be held rain or shine.

 ~First Annual Earth Day Harold Town Conservation Area Clean Up ~

Saturday, April 22, 2017

Join us for the First Annual Earth Day Clean Up at the Harold Town Conservation Area, hosted by Otonabee Conservation with the support of the Township of Otonabee South Monaghan.

Time:               10:00am to 12:00 noon

Location:        Meet at main entrance located at 2611 Old Norwood Road, Township of Otonabee South Monaghan

On-Site Contact:        Jessie James,  Manager, Conservation Lands Program, Otonabee Conservation

Volunteers will help clean up the public area and selected trails at the Harold Town Conservation Area to celebrate Earth Month, and to help make every day Earth Day!  Bags and gloves will be provided.

This is a family-friendly event and will be held rain or shine.
